Very cute game. I think the game is a tad short as I finished it very quickly, so it would be cool to either make it a bit harder or a bit longer. It would also be cool to have the kitten's meows have a proximity effect, so you can listen for where the meows are coming from and move towards it. The camera is a tad zoomed in so it's difficult to see the environment, but it could be turned into part of the mechanics.
George Gonzalez:
I think that the concept of the game is very cute and like the level design as it stay in the concept you were going for. I think the UI could use some work as the images of the cat with the heart is a bit distracting and large. I also think it might be better to change the thickness of the font and color to make it more visible. The enemies are a bit tough so i think it would be nice to balance the player speed and hit box a bit more.
The objectives in the game are both interesting and generally relaxing to start. Typically, I prefer a use of icons in the UI because it might be more visually appealing and easier to see for the player like hearts to show health points instead of just a number. I also like the varying environments that the player can traverse through but utilizing a better background that matches the theme instead of a grey screen would be nice. One critique is making sure the game feels fair for the player and ramping up difficulty/expectations at an appropriate rate rather than having the player die too quickly or suddenly later on.
Justin Rivera: This is a very pleasant game and it has a cute concept. All the models and level designs work really well to make a very enjoyable and lighthearted game. I would just say that the game is a bit unforgiving since it's very likely you'll be stacked out once an enemy gets on top of you. I think giving the player a second or two of invincibility would help lots, and it would keep the player from feeling like the game is stacked against them
Chenny Yun: The theme and music fit in very well together. I think one minor improvement would be to make a background instead of the default grey background that unity provides, which would make the game feel much more immersive and enjoyable. Overall, very fun and cute game!
Ashley Liu: I love how prominent the cat theme is but the fence colliders and enemy speed make the game a harder than I expected (although that might be intended). I know this was mentioned a lot already but if the kitten would follow it's mother after being found, that would make an already cute game even cuter :)
Remi Vaughan: This game is super cute! I love all the small details in fitting the mechanical parts of the game with the theme and the aesthetic. All of the animals are so cute, and the goal being a big box you hide in just works so well! I think the thing I most want improved about this are the controls, which are sometimes kind of buggy (Navmesh agents are really hard to get working 😔) which makes it hard to feel like you're really in control of the character. But on the other hand, that can sometimes add to the experience! The Last Guardian for the PS4 I think experimented with that lol
Yilin Zhao: I really enjoy the sound effects and the theme. It's such a soothing game! One thing is that maybe polish the background a bit. Maybe simply change the background colour to the same colour as the level ground/track . Another easy way to do it is to add a plain below the track, give it the same texture as the ground, and extend it to huge so that the background is invisible from the camera view.
Christ: I love animals, especially cats. It's funny that those cats would chase the player all the time. And the level design is little tricky. I played more than 3 times to win this game~ But anyway, this is a very awesome game and really nice work !!
I really like the cute cat theme of the game. The models and sprites were well done and the sound effects were well chosen. The boxes were a very lovely touch contributing to the cat theme. I suggest having the kittens follow the player after being collected or some UI indicating as such rather than just causing them to disappear.
Shaur Kumar: The game looks very cute on the surface, but I feel that there's a lack of visual feedback in-game through animations. When you find a baby cat, the cat just disappears, there's no movement animation, and the 3 lives system doesn't seem to work properly as one hit knocks you out. Enemies are unforgiving and fast, especially the large tiger in the sand level. I think overall the game is solid and just requires a few more polish tests to give that necessary feedback to the player.
Roger: I like the theme and how everything (down to the health icon) reflects the cat theme. The variety of the environment is also very interesting to me. However, I think having more visual/audio feedback to certain events is needed (such as when the Mother Cat engulfs her child or or when the Dog attacks the mother cat).
Yanglin Tao: I really enjoyed this cute-themed game and the cate models are very nice. The sound effects fit into the theme and give the juicy player feedback. Maybe one thing can be changed is the gray background. You probably what to change into something with similar or contrasting colors/backgrounds to make the player feel that they live in the scenes.
Cute theme, I like all the attention to detail like the cat ears in the logo. The sprites are also done well. Sometimes movement can be a bit glitchy and capturing the cats around the map or going through the cardboard box portal dont full work. In the sand level the cat also can look like its floating which is a bit offputting. Also the lives don't mean much when most interactions with the dog tick them down too fast. Good job on the game difficulty and level design though
Nishma: First of all I really appreciate the logo that you guys created like if this was made into a real game/app I could see that as a really cute logo. The level designs were really nice and I like how they're all different settings but like similar layout. The sound effects were cool too (and the baby cat sounds were so cute!). I like how this is a really intuitive game!
The graphics are amazing! The textures of everything seem so realistic. I had a lot of fun playing this game. I really liked how the camera angle let you see everything in front of you so there were no enemies that could surprise you.
Anna Teng: This game is soooo cute! I love the cats with their meowing! I also loved the boxes, it really fits well with the cat theme. I also like how each level has a slightly different vibe to it, which made each level more interesting!
Jack Liu: Such a cute game!! The character is a cute cat and the sound effect is also so cute. The scenes look like a farm which makes me feel relaxed. I really like the light and shadows. But there is a little bug when I try it. It seems like there is invisible wall in some place but maybe its the problem of my computer.
Cute game! Love the use of fences to match the overall aesthetic of the game. The sprite used to represent lives is also cute. The sound effects are really nice as well.
Suning Yao: Cat-themed games are always so cute ~ I love the detailing of the game, such as the lives count using a cat's avatar to do so. The only downside is that the interaction with the enemies doesn't make much sense.
